Computer Engineer Requirements & Qualifications Eligibility to obtain US Department of Defense security clearance BS degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field Minimum 2 years of relevant technical experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to thrive in a small, multi-disciplinary technical team Computer Engineer Day-to-Day Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and validate digital signal processing applications in software and firmware Create and implement AI/ML signal classification algorithms for real-time use Develop and test high-speed data interfaces between FPGAs and other networks or devices Collaborate with systems engineers to translate mathematical models from MATLAB or Python into optimized source code Develop and debug source code using C++, C#, Python, VHDL, and Verilog Work within a Linux environment to handle data processing, high-speed data transfer (TCP/IP, UDP), and automated testing procedures Follow engineering best practices for source code control, configuration management, regression testing, and documentation Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes using JIRA This is an excellent opportunity for engineers interested in firmware/software development for defense applications, working in a versatile and supportive environment.
