Salary Range:

$85k - $105k (commensurate with experience) Techead is partnering with our aerospace and defense client to help them hire an experienced Electrical Engineer for a full-time position in the Dayton area. As an electrical engineer, you will perform a variety of assignments including conceptual design, engineering analysis, detailed sub-system electrical design, integration, test, and manufacturing and field support. A strong candidate will possess a broad range of engineering skills. You will have the opportunity to work in a multi-functional team environment with a diverse array of exciting technologies and products that directly support our nation's war fighters.

Responsibilities:

Perform detailed design of integrated electrical and communications systems on vehicles. Perform analysis, integration, and testing. Contribute to concept development as part of internal cross-functional design teams, including prototyping and production support. Prepare high-quality formal engineering documentation such as drawings, presentations, specifications, and design presentations to customers. Will produce technical white papers and brief management/customers on planning and progress. Prepare and/or manage design change documentation via Engineering Change Notices/Engineering Change Proposals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's and/or master's degree in electrical engineering, electro-mechanical engineering, or a related field with 4 years of experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of design documentation. Effective presentation skills. Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio). Design and integration experience in some or all of the following systems below: o Military and/or commercial vehicle systems o Control systems o Power distribution and conversion systems o Safety systems Design and integration experience in some or all of the products and practices below is preferred/a plus: o Cable design o Hardware Safety and Risk analysis o RF link budgets o EMI/EMC, grounding, and environmental control o Hardware Environmental and Electromagnetic qualification to military standards o GPS and RF communication systems integration o AC and DC power and motors, motor controllers, and brakes o Ethernet and networking, RS232/422, CAN bus o Power converters o Grounding and environmental control o Test equipment such as electronic load banks, power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, digital multimeters, and isolation meters TECHEAD's mission is to make our associates successful by placing them in the right environment so they can grow and prosper.
