This position will focus heavily on the conceptual and detailed design of Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESADs) and Ignition Safety Devices (ISDs) for missile and energetic systems. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in electronic circuit and hardware design, preferably supporting missile systems, munitions, weapons systems, or other military high-reliability programs . The facility specializes in the design, manufacture, and testing of energetic safety systems, including Electronic Safe, Arm and Fire (ESAF) devices, firing modules, ignition safety devices, custom energetics, and detonators. These technologies support high-performance applications including precision munitions, tactical missiles, launch vehicles, and strategic missile systems . Key Responsibilities Lead the conceptual and detailed electronic design of Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESADs) and Ignition Safety Devices (ISDs) for missile programs. Design and develop electronic circuits and hardware to meet customer specifications, program requirements, and internal product-development needs. Perform detailed circuit design, component selection, design analysis, and tolerance studies. Evaluate designs for demanding environmental conditions including shock, vibration, temperature, and thermal stress . Develop reliable electronic hardware with an emphasis on performance, manufacturability, testability, and long-term reliability . Work closely with Quality, Manufacturing, Program Management, and other engineering disciplines throughout the product lifecycle. Support prototype and pre-production builds, hardware debug, troubleshooting, verification, and product testing. Participate in and conduct specification reviews, design reviews, and technical reviews. Support testing at internal laboratories as well as government and customer facilities. Prepare engineering specifications, bills of material/parts lists, technical documentation, development schedules, and test plans. Write engineering reports and contribute technical content to customer proposals. Support existing products through design improvements, component changes, troubleshooting, and sustainment activities. Ensure designs meet applicable customer requirements, military standards, and high-reliability design practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline. Minimum of 5 years of electronic design/development experience , or equivalent relevant engineering experience. Strong hands-on experience designing circuits using electronic components. Experience with electronic design and circuit simulation software ; Altium, PSpice, and/or LTSpice are preferred. Ability to perform detailed electronic design, component selection, design analysis, and troubleshooting. Strong technical documentation and engineering-report-writing skills. Ability to work effectively across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management organizations. Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering problems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
