In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment within manufacturing facilities. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of critical lifting systems, supporting our commitment to operational excellence. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on overhead cranes, gantry cranes, jib cranes, and related lifting equipment using precision measuring instruments and schematics. Troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulic components, pneumatic systems, and mechanical parts to identify faults and implement effective repairs. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and engineering troubleshooting manuals to diagnose complex issues accurately. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other testing devices to ensure system integrity. Repair or replace electrical components, motors, switches, relays, and control panels in accordance with safety standards and technical specifications. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory of spare parts. Collaborate with engineering teams on equipment upgrades or modifications involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC/R systems, or other automation technologies. Requirements Proven experience working in manufacturing facilities or industrial environments with a strong focus on crane systems maintenance. Extensive knowledge of electrical systems including electrical troubleshooting, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and electrical maintenance practices. Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting involving hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical components, and precision measuring instruments. Skilled in welding techniques such as stick welding for structural repairs or component fabrication. Familiarity with industrial mechanic experience including the use of scissors lifts and other lifting devices. Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately; experience with engineering troubleshooting is a plus. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools like voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics. Strong understanding of industrial maintenance procedures including preventive maintenance schedules and safety protocols. Excellent customer service skills combined with analysis skills to effectively communicate technical issues and solutions. Relevant certifications or experience in industrial electrician work; familiarity with CMMS software is preferred.
