The Electrical Engineer II will support company expansion in Philadelphia by contributing to impactful utility infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for design development, equipment layouts, construction drawings, and bills of materials for utility distribution projects while working closely with construction crews, clients, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely completion.
Job Duties:
Develop design developments, equipment layouts, construction drawings, and bills of materials for new and existing utility distribution infrastructure Apply proficiency in power engineering theories, principles, and power distribution systems Research engineering and design issues, evaluate alternatives, and prepare sound recommendations Navigate and understand complex initiatives across multiple teams and platforms Apply project management, quantitative, and analytical skill sets to oversee project progress Multitask and adapt to changing project demands while utilizing standard engineering concepts and practices Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal teams, clients, and construction crews
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree 4+ years of prior industry experience Proficiency in software required for electrical design drawings, such as AutoCAD, TED, and Microsoft Office Ability to interpret and analyze customer electrical, architectural, and structural drawings, as well as one-line diagrams and load letters Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds Knowledge of PPL Electric Utilities standards and distribution design practices (Preferred) Possess a valid Driver's License Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Willingness to comply with pre-employment screenings, including drug testing, reference verification, education and employment verification, and background screening Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
