Electrical Controls Engineer II

Job Description

Designs and engineers electrical control systems for high-speed machinery used in food and beverage production environments. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or extensive equivalent experience in electrical machine design, controls, and logic. 5+ years of controls design and engineering experience for high-speed machinery. Experience programming Rockwell Studio 5000 PLC systems. Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or AutoCAD. Experience designing and troubleshooting machine safety systems using safety relays and safety PLCs. Experience troubleshooting machinery using electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC logic. Experience with electrical control system design for industrial machinery. Knowledge of machine controls, sensors, actuators, and industrial electrical components. Preferred Skills AutoCAD Electrical experience. Experience with CE machinery safety requirements and European safety standards. Structured Text programming experience. Food and beverage manufacturing equipment experience. Canning machinery experience. Experience designing controls for automated packaging or high-speed production equipment. Job Responsibilities Design electrical control systems for high-speed industrial machinery. Develop PLC programs using Rockwell Studio 5000. Create and revise electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical or AutoCAD. Design machine safety circuits using safety relays and safety PLCs. Develop control logic for automated machinery. Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues using wiring diagrams and PLC logic. Support machine startup, testing, and commissioning activities. Modify control programs and electrical designs based on equipment requirements. Apply applicable machinery safety and electrical standards to control system designs. Support canning and food/beverage machinery projects from design through implementation.
Pay:
