Job Description

Project EngineerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on Project Engineer to support the planning, execution and delivery of engineering projects. The role focuses on coordinating technical design, construction and commissioning activities to meet schedule, budget and quality objectives. The ideal candidate has proven experience as a Project Engineer, strong technical knowledge and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams in industrial electrical, power generation or construction environments.

Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the technical lead for assigned projects, translating client requirements into engineering deliverables and detailed specifications.

Coordinate design, procurement and construction activities with internal teams, contractors and vendors to maintain schedule and budget targets.

Develop and maintain project plans, schedules and risk registers; report progress and provide forecasts to project managers and stakeholders.

Review engineering drawings, specifications and calculations for accuracy, constructability and compliance with codes and client standards.

Support procurement by preparing technical scopes, evaluating vendor proposals and participating in supplier selection and factory acceptance tests.

Oversee site activities including construction supervision, quality inspections, safety compliance and progress verification.

Lead commissioning and start-up support activities, troubleshoot technical issues and ensure systems meet performance requirements.

Ensure project documentation is complete and updated (As-built drawings, test reports, O&M manuals, change orders).Apply engineering change control, cost tracking and corrective action processes to resolve issues and minimize impacts to schedule and budget.

Maintain effective client and stakeholder communication, participate in technical meetings and provide regular status updates.

QualificationsBachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related discipline.

Proven experience working as a Project Engineer on industrial electrical, power generation, construction or related projects (3+ years preferred).Knowledge of electrical systems, power generation fundamentals, protection and distribution, and construction methods.

Familiarity with project management practices and tools (scheduling, cost control, risk management); PMP certification is a plus.

Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel; ETAP or other power system analysis tools desirable.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage client relationships.

Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety and compliance with relevant codes and standards (NEC, IEC, local regulations).Ability to work on site, perform field inspections and travel to project locations as required.

Valid drivers license and clearance for site access; additional safety certifications (OSHA, confined space, etc.) are an advantage.
