Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Supervisor to lead our engineering team and drive innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing engineering operations, developing high-performing teams, supporting new product development, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineering leader with a strong background in manufacturing, Lean principles, product development, and engineering process improvement. Key Responsibilities Engineering Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team while fostering a collaborative and accountable work environment. Build a high-performing engineering organization focused on innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. Promote open communication and teamwork across engineering, manufacturing, sales, and operations. Establish department goals, monitor performance, and drive achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs). Engineering Operations Plan, coordinate, and oversee all engineering department activities. Manage engineering workflows to ensure timely release of engineering drawings and production documentation. Lead engineering support for manufacturing, quality, and production operations. Oversee engineering budgets, capital projects, and outside engineering resources. Ensure engineering systems, software, and hardware effectively support business operations. Product Development & Continuous Improvement Lead new product development initiatives from concept through production. Improve engineering processes using Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Drive initiatives that reduce costs, improve quality, and increase engineering efficiency. Partner with manufacturing teams to improve product design, manufacturability, and production performance. Support research and development activities that enhance existing products and introduce new solutions. Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Operations to support customer requirements. Collaborate with customers to address product functionality, quality improvements, and technical solutions. Support new product launches and strategic business initiatives. Compliance & Quality Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including DOT, FMVSS, EPA, and company safety policies. Support quality management systems and continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in internal and external audits as needed. Maintain compliance with ISO standards and other applicable industry requirements. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of engineering leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Proven experience managing engineering teams and developing future leaders. Strong background in new product development and engineering process improvement. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Six Sigma methodologies. Strong project management, budgeting, and strategic planning skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Experience with
ISO 9001, IATF
16949, or similar quality management systems. Experience overseeing engineering support for custom manufacturing or OEM products. Knowledge of capital equipment, industrial manufacturing, or heavy equipment industries. Experience managing engineering software, CAD systems, and product lifecycle processes.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
