Full Job Description Location:
Reports to our Scottsdale, AZ and Tempe, AZ locations - Jobsites are throughout the Valley. Ready to level up from the tools to the tablet? If you're an apprentice electrician with 1-2 years in the field and you've ever thought \"there's got to be a faster, smarter way to do this,\" this is your next move. We're looking for someone who's curious about technology and ready to add a high-demand skill to their resume: robotic layout and field design. You'll train on Dusty Robotics FieldPrinter — an autonomous layout robot that prints full-scale floor plans directly onto the deck — plus total stations and other advanced layout tools most electricians never get their hands on. This isn't a desk job and it isn't traditional fieldwork either. It's both, and that's the point. What you'll actually be doing: Getting hands-on with Dusty Robotics and robotic total stations to lay out electrical points with pinpoint accuracy Learning to read and build layout, fabrication, and coordination drawings Working alongside our Engineered Solutions (prefab) team on installation planning Splitting time between office-based design work and active field layout — no two days look the same Sitting in on planning meetings and project coordination, so you learn the \"why\" behind the work, not just the \"how\" Picking up prefab shop experience as an added bonus Where this can take you: This role is a launchpad. Electricians in this position have grown into BIM Modeler and advanced Layout Specialist career tracks — roles that pay well and are in short supply. You're not just learning a task, you're building a specialty. What we're looking for: 1-2 years of hands-on electrical experience (apprentices encouraged to apply!) A genuine interest in design, tech, or \"the next tool\" — we'll teach you the rest Comfortable with computers and tablets; willing to learn new software Detail-oriented — this work is all about precision Clean driving record Trade school background a plus, not required Why this role: If you're tired of doing the same install day after day and want a skill that sets you apart, this is it.
