Job Description

The Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Designer is responsible for producing design layouts and finished drawings. Will be assigned to custom jobs involving, but not limited to, 3D modeling, field survey, design sketches, engineering support, layout, and final drawings. Will usually be assigned to more difficult, custom jobs for layout and final drawings. Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values." Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics." Assist the Squad Leader in obtaining information and determining how best to meet job requirements. Assist Drafters with questions/issues during performance of project work. Develop basic and complex layouts. May assist in checking the work of other Drafters. Produce new drawings. Pick-up red marks from check prints. Perform additional responsibilities as directed. 3+ years of related tank, vessel or fabrication experience. Advanced AutoCAD and/or Inventor knowledge preferred; experience with AVEVA platform highly preferred. Proficiency modeling cable tray and electrical equipment enclosures, preferably in
AVEVA E3D.
Strong understanding of various drafting disciplines such as vessels, structural, etc. General understanding of fabrication, purchasing, and field construction. Ability to understand and use general math and advanced trigonometry functions. Advanced knowledge and understanding of API, AISC, ASME and various codes and standards required for different types of work. Occasional overtime is possible in this position.
