This role is integral to ensuring the successful installation, start-up, testing, and documentation of critical systems in data centers and large-scale infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electrical or HVAC systems and a proven ability to coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams. Key Responsibilities (Electrical) Witness and validate installation, start-up, and testing of critical power equipment, including but not limited to: Dynamic Load bank testing for Generators Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) Low- and Medium-Voltage Switchgear Transfer Switches (Both Automatic and Manual) Programable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and their interaction with SCADA, BAS and DCIM systems Electrical continuity tests on Bus Ducts Create and review commissioning scripts for the various L0-L6 of commissioning. Collaborate with clients to align expectations. Plan project-specific schedules for the commissioning of electrical systems. Collect, compile, and deliver commissioning reports. Conduct reviews to verify compliance with project requirements and/or regulations. Key Responsibilities (Mechanical) Witness and validate installation, start-up, and testing of critical cooling and mechanical systems, including but not limited to: Computer Room Air Handlers/Air Conditioners (CRAHs and CRACs) Compressor Chiller Building Management Systems (BMS) Programable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and their interaction with SCADA, BAS and DCIM systems Industrial Water Systems Exhaust Fans Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) Create and review commissioning scripts for the various L0-L6 of commissioning. Collaborate with clients to align expectations. Plan project-specific schedules for the commissioning of mechanical systems. Collect, compile, and deliver commissioning reports. Conduct reviews to verify compliance with project requirements and/or regulations. Review and evaluate Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) reports. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent technical experience). 3-5 years of experience in commissioning or testing of electrical power systems or testing of HVAC systems (data center or critical facility experience preferred). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings such as wiring diagrams for electrical candidates and HVAC drawings for Mechanical Candidates Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface directly with clients. Detail-oriented with strong technical writing and documentation skills. compliance requirements. NEBB or TABB Certifications are considered an asset
