Onsite Position Overview An international industrial automation and engineering company specializing in automotive manufacturing solutions is seeking an experienced PLC / Controls Engineer for an immediate project in Lewisburg, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Siemens

S7-1200/1500 PLC

programming, TIA Portal, industrial automation, and equipment commissioning, preferably within the automotive industry. Key Responsibilities Program, modify, and troubleshoot Siemens

S7-1200/1500 PLC

systems using TIA Portal, STL, and SCL. Support electrical controls design, including EPLAN schematics and component selection. Configure and troubleshoot industrial networks, including PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and CC-Link. Support servo drives, multi-axis motion control, HMI development, and system integration. Perform onsite equipment startup, testing, debugging, and commissioning. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic automation systems. Optimize equipment performance, cycle times, and production efficiency. Collaborate with U.S. and international engineering teams to resolve technical issues. Maintain technical documentation and follow applicable CE/UL electrical safety standards. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in PLC programming, controls engineering, or industrial automation. Strong proficiency with Siemens S7-1200/1500 and TIA Portal. Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and onsite commissioning. Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot industrial control systems. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and servo drive systems. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate with international engineering teams. Must be available to work onsite in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Automotive manufacturing or automotive automation experience. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field. Experience with EPLAN electrical design. Experience with multi-axis motion control and Siemens servo drives. Knowledge of automotive interior/exterior trim manufacturing processes. Familiarity with CE/UL electrical safety standards.
