Audio Visual Quality Control Engineer

Job Description

The Audio Visual Quality Control Engineer will report directly to the Director of Operations of USIS Hours of Operation are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through
Friday Job Responsibilities:
  • Create, modify, & test audio Digital Signal Processing (DSP) programs (as applicable)
  • Load & test remote control system programs at USIS' facility (as applicable)
  • Work with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Control Systems Programmers to ensure system functionality meets the specifications set forth in the system's design/scope of work/TOO
  • Complete verification of system functionality prior to systems shipping to client's facilities
  • Perform troubleshooting, problem solving, and complete Project Engineer's punch lists prior to systems shipping to client's facilities
  • Complete Quality Control (QC) Commissioning documentation for each system verified in the shop, including "mark-ups" of system schematics, configuration files, DSP files, & IP addressing
  • Ensure USIS AV standards and procedures are followed during the Quality Control (QC) Process
  • Training and mentoring AudioVisual (AV) Technicians and Installers (as applicable)
  • Ability to lift up 75 lbs.

Required Skills:
  • Ability to comprehend audio visual system schematics
  • Familiarity with multi-meters, digital and analog test generators, and other electronic test meters
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented and collaborative team player
  • Ability to follow and enforce process and procedure
  • Computer proficiency with experience in Microsoft Office programs, control system (Crestron, AMX) and audio digital signal processing (DSP) programs
  • Experience with configuring and performing diagnostics of videoconferencing codecs (Cisco, Polycom, etc.)
  • AudioVisual industry certifications required
  • InfoComm CTS and CTS-I is preferred

$40.00 - $50.00 per hour
