Position Overview Step into a state-of-the-art research and development organization dedicated to delivering high-tech transportation solutions to the North American market. As a Simulation and Analysis Engineer , you will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of commercial transit across multiple platforms, working directly on Diesel, Natural Gas, and Battery Electric Trucks . In this role, you will analyze complex thermo-mechanical systems, run full-vehicle simulations, and act as a technical leader. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams—including Chassis, Cab, Electrical, and Testing—as well as Product Design to optimize exterior surfaces and ensure strict functional and cooling requirements are met.
Conduct comprehensive CFD analyses of individual components, sub-systems (e.g., heat exchangers, exhaust systems, air intake systems), and full-vehicle under-hood thermal simulations.
Vehicle Aerodynamics:
Interface directly with the Product Design team to evaluate exterior surfaces, providing crucial feedback to improve airflow characteristics and minimize drag.
Methodology & Validation:
Perform validation studies comparing CFD results to experimental data, collaborating with global technical strategy teams to continually improve simulation workflows.
Post-process and analyze simulation results to write engineering reports and deliver actionable design recommendations that identify, rectify, and prevent potential flaws.
Testing Alignment:
Partner with testing and project teams to develop test plans, establish instrumentation roadmaps, and interpret physical test data to anchor your models.
Project Ownership:
Drive design solutions from the concept stage all the way to final production, maintaining total ownership of the analysis until an acceptable outcome is achieved for all stakeholders.
