Full Job Description Title:
Junior Field Engineer Reports to:
Project Manager Role:
The project engineer is an integral member of the project team responsible for delivering projects of varying size and complexity. The field engineer is responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities, under the direction of a Project Manager (PM).
Key Required Qualifications:
2 years of field engineering, with construction experience Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Valid driver's license Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications and related documents Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk uneven terrain
Scope of Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance to the Project Manager
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications and related documents
  • Track quantities in the field
  • Perform moderate to complex mathematical problems, proficient with accurate concrete take-offs
  • Monitor and schedule material delivery
  • Coordinate with field supervision
  • Maintain project EEO bulletin board
  • May act as a liaison between Company and Subcontractors, Utility Companies, Engineer and Owner
  • Prepare correspondence and/or reports as required
  • Follow-up on correspondence and outstanding requests for resolution
  • Assist in creating monthly billings
  • Participate in meetings with project manager, subcontractors, vendors and owners
  • Other work as needed
BILINGUAL
(Spanish\English) is a plus The above outline of duties are not arranged in order of priority. Those responsibilities are not meant to restrict initiative, but rather to describe minimum activities. Those duties will from time to time be altered by the PM to suit the needs of the company. Relocation allowance are available.
Qualifications:
Working towards a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent. Hasse Contracting is an EEO Employer.
