POSITION SUMMARY
In conjunction with Chief Engineer, Responsible for supervision of the Maintenance Department operations and personnel. Responsible for maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the entire Hotel and grounds. Proactively ensure Guest Satisfaction. Lead by Example.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership/Management:
Recruit, hire, motivate, coach, counsel, train staff as needed Previous supervisory or leadership experience in hotel engineering, facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or a related field. Actively supervise, direct, schedule department personnel; Review policies and procedures with staff > Resolve conflicts between team members Conduct all department performance appraisals Responsible for department payroll administration Establish and manage department budgets Must have strong computer skills and the ability to learn and use hotel maintenance and administrative software systems. Use Excel to create and maintain spreadsheets, maintenance logs, schedules, inventory records, budgets, reports, and other departmental documentation. Complete all administrative documentation in an accurate and timely manner Carry out any reasonable request by
Management Guest Satisfaction:
Continuously evaluate and improve the appearance of the hotel buildings, landscaping, parking lots, pools and common areas Assist the GM in resolving Guest complaints concerning Maintenance Balance cost of labor and guest satisfaction when scheduling staff Select and manage contract labor as needed to make repairs Responsible for preventative maintenance of all major equipment to include systems for HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, water heaters, pool, spa and the hotel van Responsible for all Suite Kare training, scheduling and documentation.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
Hotel management experience in Maintenance HVAC Certification Strong/high-level trade skills in multiple maintenance disciplines. Strong Training skills Strong Demonstrated experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to walk and stand during entire shift Able to work the majority of a shift outdoors as the business dictates Able to use a computer and sit for extended periods of time Continually reaches, bends, lifts, carries, stoops and wipes during entire shift; > Able to lift 60 pounds; Able to work a varied schedule including holidays, weekends and nights as the business dictates.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
