Job Description

We made history and now we work to transform the future - for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters. Racing is where our story began. In 1901, Henry Ford climbed into a car he built himself—"Sweepstakes"—and beat America's most famous driver. He wasn't a racer, but he had to win. He did. Ford Motor Company was born from that victory. That fighting spirit lives on in Ford Racing today. We're the engineers, strategists, and competitors who bring Ford's track-tested edge into every vehicle we build. Every track, every stage, every proving ground—that's where we prove ourselves.
The result:
one of the world's most iconic brands, legendary nameplates, and a team unmatched in the industry.
Our mantra:
Race to win, engineer to lead. If you're a competitor, innovator, or performance obsessive, Ford Racing is where you belong. Help us write the next chapter. In this position... Ford Racing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Powertrain Engineer with a strong background in driveline systems engineering. This pivotal role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in delivering driveline systems from concept to production. This individual should have a strong knowledge of research processes, understand how technology can be fast tracked into production, and understand the fundamentals to deliver a high-quality design from concept to production. We want someone with a passion for high-performance vehicles, and a wide network of connections within the powertrain and driveline engineering communities. This position requires a person with significant depth of knowledge in driveline systems engineering. This includes transfer cases, 'prop' shafts, planetary gear sets, clutch systems and differentials. We are pushing boundaries and need someone that understands the technical aspects of delivering vehicle driveline systems for the high performance, low volume market. This requires a team player that can lead others to solve tough issues, leverage core resources, and resolve technical issues with limited oversight. This person needs to be positioned to immediately pull in significant technical expertise to solve issues and keep the program on track. Technical oversight of this program will include a strong understanding of program management and project deliverables that align with Ford GPDS deliverables.
