Microsoft Project Full Job Description General Summary:
The Engineering Program Manager is responsible for leading engineering and design associates to deliver quality solutions in a timely manner. This role serves as the central point of contact for OEM clients and internal engineering teams. The Engineering Program Manager ensures that program milestones are achieved on time, within budged, and in strict compliance with customer standards.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Lead engineering/design teams throughout the project- feasibility, engineering, process and design.
  • Track and manage program gateways, including kick-off, CAE/design reviews and final approval.
  • Identify technical, financial, and timing risks early, executing proactive mitigation strategies to prevent launch delays.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for automotive OEMs to manage engineering change requests, timelines, and technical reviews.
  • Oversee the program budgets and track costs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Thorough understanding of project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.
  • Provin ability to direct teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies like 8D, and 5-Why.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to distill complex technical topics for executive leadership and clients.
Education & Experience:
  • Four-year college degree preferred with major in engineering.
  • 5+ years of technical experience in stamping.
  • Substantial knowledge of sheet metal forming dies die function.
  • 5+ years' experience using 3D CAD modeling software (NX, CATIA V5).
  • Experience in simulation software (Autoform, PamStamp, Dynaform) preferred.
Position Type and Expected hours of
Work:
This is a full-time position. Standard hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with exact daily schedules determined by project deadlines and facility needs. Travel will be required as needed. This position operates in both an office and shop-floor environment and routinely requires standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
