Qualifications:
White Light Electric is seeking an Electrical Project Manager with a strong financial and analytical mindset with electrical knowledge to manage commercial and industrial electrical projects from turnover through closeout. We are looking for someone who understands the financial side of project management, including labor performance, cost forecasting, project profitability, scheduling, change management, billing, and cost-to-complete analysis.
Financial Responsibilities:
Review the original estimate and project budget during project turnover. Understand estimated labor hours, labor dollars, material costs, equipment, subcontractors, and project allowances. Establish and maintain project labor budgets. Compare actual labor hours against estimated and budgeted labor hours. Track productivity and identify labor overruns early. Calculate and update project cost-to-complete forecasts. Forecast final project cost and profitability. Review committed costs and outstanding purchase orders. Track material spending against the project budget. Identify financial risks before they become losses. Track pending and approved change orders. Understand the financial impact of scope changes. Assist with pricing and documenting change orders. Track project billing and percent complete. Coordinate schedule of values and progress billing. Monitor project cash flow and billing status. Review job-cost reports and project financial reports. Provide management with accurate forecasts of project performance. Develop corrective action plans when a project begins trending over budget.
Project Management Responsibilities:
Manage commercial and industrial electrical projects from kickoff through closeout. Review drawings, specifications, contracts, estimates, scope, clarifications, and exclusions. Conduct project turnover meetings with estimating and field leadership. Develop project schedules and manpower plans. Coordinate project activities with foremen and field crews. Establish clear expectations for project milestones and labor goals. Monitor field progress against the project schedule. Visit jobsites and verify project progress. Coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, architects, vendors, and other trades. Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation. Coordinate material procurement and deliveries. Manage equipment and subcontractor requirements. Identify scope changes and ensure additional work is documented before costs are lost. Coordinate inspections and project closeout. Manage punch lists, warranties, O&M manuals, as-builts, attic stock, training, and final documentation.
