Job Description The Director of Engineering will: Lead and develop Manufacturing and Production Engineering teams Set and execute engineering strategy aligned with business goals Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Establish and track KPIs to improve performance and efficiency Partner with executive leadership on strategic decisions Oversee new product development and product launches Collaborate cross-functionally to align engineering with business needs Ensure structured program execution and production readiness Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles Support quoting with accurate cost and resource estimates Improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and automation Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives Enhance product quality and operational performance MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant A successful Director of Engineering should have the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required Master's degree preferred 10+ years of engineering leadership experience in manufacturing Experience leading new product introductions Background in process development, tooling, and production systems Expertise in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement Experience with ERP and manufacturing planning systems Proven record of driving operational improvements Strong understanding of manufacturing engineering principles Strategic thinker with strong business acumen What's on Offer Competitive salary Comprehensive benefits package Opportunity to lead operations in a medium-sized, growth-focused organization.
