Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead site development and land development projects from initial planning through completion. This is a client-facing project management role for someone who understands the technical side of civil engineering but also knows how to manage schedules, budgets, teams, approvals and client expectations. You'll work with clients, municipalities, architects, surveyors, engineers, contractors and internal project teams to move projects from concept and design through approvals and construction. What You'll Do Manage civil/site development projects from initial scope through completion Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and maintain day-to-day project communication Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets and fee estimates Coordinate civil design, engineering, surveying and other technical disciplines Review plans, specifications, calculations and technical reports Guide projects through municipal review and permitting processes Coordinate with municipal officials, reviewing agencies and outside consultants Manage project deadlines, deliverables and client expectations Monitor project budgets, contracts, scope changes and invoicing Identify project issues early and work with the team to resolve them Participate in proposals, client presentations and business development activities Mentor and provide technical direction to less-experienced engineers and project staff Maintain quality standards and review project deliverables before they reach the client What You Bring 8+ years of experience in civil engineering, site development or land development Project management experience in a consulting engineering environment Experience with commercial, residential, municipal or mixed-use site development projects Strong understanding of civil design, grading, drainage, utilities and land development Experience working with municipalities, reviewing agencies and permitting requirements Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines Strong client communication and relationship-management skills Experience preparing or reviewing project scopes, budgets and schedules Ability to lead project teams and coordinate multiple disciplines New Jersey Professional Engineer (PE) license required Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred The Opportunity $120,000-$160,000 depending on experience Full-time position Established engineering organization with opportunities for professional growth Work on a variety of civil and site development projects Opportunity to take ownership of projects and client relationships Collaborative environment with experienced engineering and technical staff Permanent U.S. work authorization is required. No sponsorship, H-1B, OPT, CPT or C2C.
Pay:
$120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
