The City of Sumter is seeking a professional engineer to serve as its Development Engineer - the engineer who helps shape how our community grows. The role will review plans for development projects and apply engineering principles and practices in the areas of roadway design, pavement design, stormwater design, utilities, subdivision and zoning regulations, and construction standards. Includes project coordination across internal departments and directing the City of Sumter's Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) Program. Looking for a team-oriented individual that will be a liaison to developers, the planning department, technical review committee, and the public.
