Job Description Role Overview The Manager, Quality leads quality management activities for a defined scope, which may include a plant, business unit, product line, or functional area. The role develops and executes tactical and operational quality plans aligned with enterprise quality strategy and business priorities. This position manages quality engineers, inspectors, or analysts and serves as a key advisor to leadership on quality risks, compliance status, and improvement opportunities. The role typically reports to a Quality Director, Operations Leader, or equivalent

senior role. Key Responsibilities Quality Management & Governance Lead development and execution of quality plans, policies, and procedures

Ensure adherence to quality management systems, standards, and customer requirements

Maintain effective document control, audits, and governance practices

Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, industry, and customer quality standards

Identify quality risks and implement corrective and preventive actions

Support internal and external audits, certifications, and regulatory inspections

Product & Process Quality Oversee quality assurance and control activities across products and processes

Lead root cause analysis and resolution of quality issues and nonconformances

Partner with Operations and Engineering to improve process capability and product performance

Continuous Improvement & Quality Performance Drive moderate to significant improvements in quality performance and defect reduction

Support Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement initiatives

Track and analyze quality KPIs such as defects, scrap, customer complaints, and costs of quality

CrossFunctional Partnership Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Customer teams to support business objectives

Support new product introductions, changes, and transfers from a quality perspective Influence alignment on quality priorities and improvement actions

People Leadership & Talent Management Manage and develop quality staff through coaching, performance management, and development planning

Establish staffing and capability plans to meet quality and compliance demands Provide input and authority for hiring, promotion, and reward decisions in alignment with company guidelines

Customer & Stakeholder Interface Represent the quality function in customer interactions and issue resolution

Communicate quality performance, risks, and improvement plans to leadership

Support customer audits and respond to quality-related inquiries Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field required Master's degree orprofessional certification (CQE, Six Sigma Black Belt) preferred

Typically 7 or more years of progressive experience in quality, manufacturing, or operations roles

Prior people management or quality leadership experience required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strongknowledge of quality management systems, compliance, and continuous improvement tools

Experience leading audits, investigations, andcorrective action processes

Proven ability to lead teams and deliver results through others

Demonstrated capability to manage moderatelycomplex quality and compliance challenges

Strong analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills

Ability to influencecrossfunctional partners and stakeholders
