Job Description

Job Overview We are looking for someone that has a general idea of the industry, a minimum of 6 months, but more than anything a great attitude and a willingness to work hard and learn and grow with our team. You must be a self-starter and detail-oriented. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Restoration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the restoration industry, particularly in water damage restoration and mold remediation. This role involve mostly with performing the demolition on primarily water mitigation jobs, but it will also include fire, mold, and possibly asbestos. Making sure that the documentation is up to par with the standard and communication with your supervisors and homeowners. It may also include in emergencies, selling jobs, providing proper documentation, and initial mitigation work. As well, If you have any handyman capabilities that is going to be highly preferred and a chance for extra pay and bonuses if you can do drywall repairs, touch ups, small cabinet installs, minor plumbing and electrical, etc. Other job benefits include, overtime, after hours bonus, sales bonus, job duty bonuses and etc. Duties Assess damage to residential and commercial properties and develop a restoration plan. Perform water damage restoration, including extraction, drying, and dehumidification processes. Conduct mold remediation by identifying affected areas and implementing appropriate cleaning methods. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various restoration tasks. Clean carpets and other surfaces as part of the restoration process. Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all restoration activities, including asbestos abatement when necessary. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used on each job site. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and customer satisfaction. Requirements Previous experience in the restoration industry is preferred but not required. Knowledge of water damage restoration techniques and mold remediation practices. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in restoration work. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise during projects. Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to restoration work. Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various conditions.
