Job Description

As a Mitigation Technician, you are essential in our commitment to help families in need.
Service Locations:
Santa Cruz, Watsonville, Monterey Bay, Carmel, Salinas, Gilroy, Hollister Our work includes: Water damage mitigation Mold remediation Biohazard cleanup Hoarding cleanup Odor remediation Trauma scene cleanup Day-to-day responsibilities include: Setting up, monitoring, and breaking down drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers) per IICRC standards Taking and logging moisture readings with meters and thermal cameras Calculating proper equipment placement — air movers per affected square footage, dehumidifiers per cubic volume Performing controlled demolition (flood cuts, material removal) to expose wet structural materials Documenting all job site conditions with photos, moisture logs, and drying reports Communicating clearly with homeowners, property managers, and insurance adjusters on-site Safely handling and transporting equipment Following all safety protocols, including PPE use on Category 2 and Category 3 water loss jobs
Required:
Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in tight spaces Reliable, on time, and professional with customers Comfortable working in crawl spaces, attics, and flooded environments Preferred (not required — we will train): WRT (Water Restoration Technician) or willingness to obtain Prior restoration, construction, or remediation experience Experience reading moisture maps or drying logs What We Offer Competitive hourly pay: $24-$30/hr DOE Overtime opportunities — property disasters don't keep business hours Paid IICRC certification training for the right candidate Company Vehicle depending on location Direct growth path to Lead Tech as the crew scales Work with a small, tight-knit team that takes pride in quality Schedule Project Based Monday-Friday with on-call rotation. 20-45 hrs/week. Occasional weekends for emergency response.
Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
