Full-Time | Salaried | $71,000-$75,000/year | SF Bay Area About Bio 911 Bio 911 is a Bay Area remediation company specializing in mold remediation, water mitigation, biohazard/trauma cleanup, hoarding cleanup, and specialty environmental services . We are looking for an experienced Lead Remediation Technician / Field Supervisor who can take ownership of remediation projects from start to finish. This is a senior field leadership position for someone who understands remediation technically, can design an effective job site, lead technicians, communicate with customers, and independently manage the execution and completion of projects.
THE ROLE
The Lead Remediation Technician / Field Supervisor is responsible for managing assigned projects from initial review through final completion .
You will be expected to:
Review the scope of work and site conditions Assess the affected areas and determine appropriate remediation procedures Design and set up the job site , including containment, negative air, HEPA filtration, equipment placement, work zones, access, and cross-contamination controls Plan the sequence of work and coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and disposal Direct and supervise field technicians Perform quality-control inspections throughout the project Identify unexpected conditions and determine appropriate solutions Communicate with homeowners, property managers, contractors, and insurance representatives Identify scope changes and communicate them to management Ensure the project is completed properly, safely, and according to the approved scope Complete project documentation and final closeout
PROJECT MANAGEMENT

START TO FINISH
You will have responsibility for the field execution of projects from beginning to end , including: Planning → Job-Site Design → Setup → Remediation → Quality Control → Final Completion The successful candidate must be capable of taking an assigned project and independently organizing the field operation rather than simply performing individual production tasks.
JOB-SITE DESIGN
The Field Supervisor will be responsible for designing and implementing appropriate site controls, including: Containment boundaries and configuration Critical barriers and entry/exit points Negative-air zones and HEPA air-scrubber placement Airflow and pressure strategy Clean and contaminated work zones Equipment placement, including air scrubbers, dehumidifiers, and air movers Worker and material pathways PPE and decontamination procedures Protection of unaffected areas Work sequencing and cross-contamination prevention
TECHNICAL & FIELD LEADERSHIP
The position requires strong practical knowledge of remediation procedures and the ability to make sound field decisions involving: Mold remediation Water damage and structural drying Biohazard and trauma-scene remediation Containment and engineering controls HEPA filtration and negative air Moisture assessment Antimicrobial treatment Cleaning and decontamination Demolition and removal of affected materials Equipment selection and placement Health and safety requirements You will be expected to recognize conditions that are not immediately visible, determine when the scope needs to change, and communicate technical issues to management and customers.
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS
The following qualifications are required and are not negotiable: Minimum 5 years of hands-on field experience in remediation or closely related environmental services Current
IICRC WRT
(Water Restoration Technician) certification Current
IICRC AMRT
(Applied Microbial Remediation Technician) certification Current 40-hour
OSHA HAZWOPER
certification Experience with mold remediation and containment Experience operating and positioning HEPA air scrubbers and other remediation equipment Experience taking and interpreting moisture readings Experience directing or leading other field technicians Strong understanding of PPE, containment, negative air, and cross-contamination prevention Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation Ability to communicate professionally with customers and property managers Ability to document work accurately using photographs, job notes, and project documentation Additional biohazard, trauma-scene, OSHA, respiratory protection, AHERA, or related certifications are highly valued.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who has progressed beyond the role of a production technician and is ready to own the field execution of a project . The ideal candidate can walk onto a job site, evaluate the conditions, develop a remediation approach, design the containment and equipment layout, direct the technicians, communicate with the customer, solve problems, maintain quality and safety standards, and bring the project to completion. This is a leadership and project-management position , not simply a technician position. Hands-on work may be required when appropriate for training, difficult conditions, quality control, or project completion; however, routine production labor is not the primary purpose of the position.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary:

POSITION CLASSIFICATION
This position is intended to function as a salaried exempt administrative/field-management position , involving specialized technical work, project management, substantial training and experience, discretion, and independent judgment. The position is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and overseeing remediation projects and making independent technical and operational decisions under general supervision. Classification is based on the actual duties and responsibilities performed , not simply the job title.
