The Lead Mitigation Technician at Titan Restoration is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the mitigation team at the assigned office. This role requires leading technicians through each phase of mitigation and/or environmental projects, from initial response to project completion. The Lead Mitigation Technician will assess damage, plan the scope of work, and provide hands-on restoration services while also mentoring and guiding team members to ensure quality and safety standards are met. To apply for this position, you must have a minimum of 1 year of experience, with 2 years preferred. Candidates without prior experience as a Lead Mitigation Technician will be automatically disqualified from consideration. Effective communication with customers and coordination with other departments are essential. This position reports directly to the Mitigation Manager or the Director of Mitigation at Titan Restoration .
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and manage a team of technicians, providing direction and supervision on each project to meet Titan Restoration's high standards. Mentor, coach, and develop technicians by promoting skill growth through feedback and training. Assign tasks and responsibilities to technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and job completion. Conduct initial site inspections to assess damage and develop mitigation plans in line with Titan Restoration's procedures. Maintain regular internal and external communications regarding project status, scope changes, materials, and personnel needs.
Mitigation and Restoration Services:
Perform high-level mitigation services, including water extraction, structural drying, fire damage cleanup, mold remediation, and content cleaning, following Titan Restoration's protocols. Execute demolition and debris removal, including removing carpet, padding, flooring, drywall, and insulation as needed. Set up, operate, and maintain specialized restoration equipment, such as dehumidifiers, air movers, and air scrubbers. Track, monitor, and document equipment usage and effectiveness, maintaining accurate records for Titan Restoration projects. Conduct moisture readings, take measurements, and document job progress using industry software.
Customer Service and Sales:
Engage directly with customers, providing clear explanations of the mitigation process and setting accurate expectations. Sell Titan Restoration mitigation services and additional restoration jobs when applicable. Maintain a professional and positive attitude while delivering outstanding customer service. Provide daily updates to customers, insurance adjusters, and team members.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to industry standards and safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment, in line with Titan Restoration's commitment to safety. Proactively communicate job site conditions, safety concerns, and progress to management. Uphold a clean and organized job site, including maintaining well-stocked and properly maintained Titan Restoration vehicles and equipment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 Years of Lead Mitigation Tech experience. Proven ability to multitask, stay detail-oriented, and work effectively in both team and independent settings. Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a team. Previous experience in water, fire, or mold restoration preferred. IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT) are highly valued. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer-focused approach. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varied environments. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Availability for rotating on-call duties and after-hours emergency.
