This position reports directly to the Sr. Director - Environmental, Tailings, Permitting and Community Relations and will work closely with colleagues in the Environmental Department, Corporate Environmental Affairs, Plant and Mine Maintenance, and Operations Departments, and will also interact with federal, state and local regulatory agencies, and Environmental Department coworkers on permitting, compliance, and facility inspections. The position would primarily have responsibility for the water permitting programs at both Minntac and Keetac. Major responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
