No Location CountyOnondaga Street Address5786 Widewaters Parkway CitySyracuse StateNY Zip Code13214 Job Specifics Duties DescriptionThe incumbent will support the Region 7 Division of Environmental Permits (DEP) office by performing the following duties: data management including logging in permit applications to ETracks and Dart, uploading application materials to DMS, including resubmitted application material, DEC correspondences, and issued permits, and distribution of DEP correspondences; scanning historical permit application documents; managing DEP's general email inbox and general phone line; GIS screening; General Permit Application Review; FOIL screening; and other duties as assigned by the Regional Permit Administrator. Minimum QualificationsFive years of experience in engineering or engineering technician work in aeronautical, chemical, civil, electrical, environmental, mechanical, or sanitary engineering technology; environmental technology; geology or geology technology; or as a surveyor or a drafter; OR graduation from high school and two years of qualifying experience; OR graduation from a high school technical program in aeronautics, architectural drafting, chemistry, electricity, electronics, mechanical design and construction, technical structural drafting and design, technical instrumentation and control systems, or computer circuitry; and one year of qualifying experience; OR 36 college semester credit hours in any combination of the following: engineering, geology, environmental science, natural or physical science, drafting, mathematics, or surveying. Additional CommentsThis is a hourly appointment currently funded through 3/31/2027, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date. Must have a valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.
