Job Description

We are currently looking for a skilled Repair Engineer to provide maintenance support for aerospace aftermarket operations in Chula Vista, CA. The primary responsibility of this role is to create and approve structural repairs and allowable damage limits for nacelle components on commercial aircraft. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in aerospace structures, repair development, maintenance documentation, and knowledge of commercial aircraft MRO requirements. This position demands an engineer who can work autonomously, make informed engineering decisions, assist customers with complex technical issues, and offer technical guidance to fellow engineers. Key Responsibilities Develop engineering solutions and repair instructions for various aerospace nacelle components and projects. Design and assist in repair development for both metallic and composite aircraft structures. Create and validate repair concepts and allowable damage limits for Structural Repair Manual (SRM) applications. Collaborate with production engineering to assess design changes and their impact on structural maintainability, repairability, and maintenance documentation. Support the enhancement and expansion of repairs for SRM, CMM, and AMM documentation. Resolve complex technical issues by working closely with engine manufacturers, airframers, and other clients. Prepare engineering repair packages for SRM/CMM repair development and submit to the Type Certificate Holder. Act as a technical liaison for internal and external customers. Present technical recommendations and engineering solutions to customers and management. Handle multiple repair assignments in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Offer technical guidance to junior engineers. Support engineering standardization and process improvements to enhance repair processing times. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Roughly 5 years of relevant aerospace engineering experience . Experience with aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) and knowledge of commercial aviation regulatory requirements. Experience in developing repairs for aircraft metallic and/or composite structures. Experience with repair development related to nacelle and exhaust structures. Familiarity with aerospace maintenance manuals, including SRM, ASR, CMM, and AMM. Strong skills in technical writing and documentation. Experience in a customer-facing or customer-support engineering position. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications

proficiency. FiberSim familiarity. Comprehensive understanding of aerospace nacelle systems. Knowledge of specialty manufacturing processes for aerospace components. Experience with automation tools such as Excel VBA and Visual Basic.
