Marriott is seeking an Engineer Care Team member to keep our hotel operating safely, efficiently, and comfortably for guests and associates. In this on-site role, you'll respond to maintenance requests, diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and guest room issues, and complete preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment. You'll partner closely with operations and housekeeping to minimize downtime, ensure clean, well-maintained spaces, and uphold brand standards. Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on hotel equipment, guest rooms, and building systems Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues promptly Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests with a service-focused approach Monitor, document, and complete work orders using maintenance/CMMS systems Support inspections and testing of fire, life safety, and emergency systems Maintain tools, parts inventory, and a safe, organized workshop Collaborate with operations and housekeeping to minimize room downtime Follow all safety, OSHA, and Marriott engineering standards and procedures Assist with energy conservation and equipment performance optimization Participate in on-call, evening, weekend, or holiday coverage as needed Required Skills HVAC maintenance and repair Basic electrical systems troubleshooting Plumbing systems repair Building automation systems Preventive maintenance scheduling Reading technical drawings and schematics Use of hand and power tools Work order and CMMS software Safety and OSHA compliance Emergency systems (fire/life safety)
