Job Description

Facilities Engineer - Manufacturing Weston, OH $90,000-$110,000 We are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer for a hands-on engineering leadership opportunity within a manufacturing facility in Weston, Ohio. This is not a strictly office-based engineering or management position. The Facilities Engineer will help lead and coordinate the maintenance/engineering function while remaining directly involved with equipment, troubleshooting, process improvements, preventative maintenance, capital projects, and plant-floor initiatives. Schedule
  • Monday-Friday, first shift
  • Approximately 6:00 AM-3:50 PM
  • Fridays are primarily focused on preventative maintenance, special projects, and contractor-supported work. Responsibilities
  • Lead manufacturing and facility improvement projects
  • Improve safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, throughput, and cost performance
  • Manage capital equipment and facility projects from concept through implementation
  • Optimize preventative maintenance programs
  • Troubleshoot equipment and manufacturing/facility issues
  • Evaluate new equipment, manufacturing technology, and automation
  • Support and develop the maintenance team
  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop SOPs, work instructions, manufacturing standards, and training programs
  • Coordinate new processes and product trials
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, contractors, and resources
  • Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Food Safety, and Quality Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • 3+ years of engineering/process improvement experience in manufacturing
  • 2-5 years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong manufacturing equipment and process knowledge
  • Experience leading capital, automation, equipment installation, or process improvement projects
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
  • Comfortable being hands-on and working directly on the manufacturing floor Preferred
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification
  • PMP certification
  • PLC troubleshooting/diagnostic knowledge
  • Automation or robotics experience
  • CAD experience
  • Food, pet food, CPG, agricultural, or regulated manufacturing experience Benefits
