Job Description

About the Role As a Lead HVAC Service Specialist, you will serve as a technical authority for complex climate control systems, ensuring optimal environmental comfort and operational efficiency. You will drive high-impact results by performing advanced diagnostics, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining critical infrastructure to support seamless facility performance. Responsibilities Execute complex repairs and preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC assets, including chillers, boilers, RTUs, and AHUs to maximize equipment lifespan. Drive system efficiency by fine-tuning controls and mechanical components to meet rigorous performance standards. Document service outcomes and asset health within CMMS platforms to ensure data-driven maintenance strategies. Foster a culture of technical excellence by providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members. Ensure full regulatory compliance during all refrigerant handling and recovery procedures. Collaborate with facility management to identify and implement long-term infrastructure upgrades that enhance operational reliability. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial or institutional HVAC environments. Current EPA Universal Certification. Advanced proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics, hydronic systems, and DDC control logic. Preferred Skills Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage complex service projects. Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on proactive system optimization. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective cross-departmental communication.
