Job Description
Job Summary Use your hands-on skills and attention to safety to keep the property secure, comfortable, clean, and operating smoothly as a Chief Engineer. The Chief Engineer oversees engineering operations, emergency programs, energy management, asset protection, preventative maintenance, repairs, department budgets, quality service, and operational support. Key Duties and Responsibilities Maintain equipment, building components, systems, grounds, guest areas, public areas, and assigned property assets Work with mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, lighting, plumbing, tile, tools, products, equipment, and related systems as applicable Perform or support preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and emergency response Respond to guest, resident, tenant, customer, or associate concerns with urgency and professionalism Patrol property grounds, parking areas, exterior spaces, or event areas as assigned Clean up trash, spills, bodily fluids, snow, ice, or hazards while maintaining sanitary guidelines Report safety concerns, property damage, suspicious activity, maintenance needs, and unusual circumstances Maintain supplies, parts, logs, work orders, documentation, checklists, and inventory where assigned Use proper PPE and follow safe work practices, chemical handling, and emergency procedures Work indoors and outdoors year-round based on business needs General Expectations Adhere to company policies, standards, procedures, and property-specific expectations Extend professionalism to guests, residents, customers, clients, vendors, and associates Be proactive, prompt, dependable, and attentive to detail Act with integrity, demonstrate teamwork, and maintain the spirit to serve Maintain a clean, professional appearance and be in uniform as assigned Understand and follow basic safety, security, and emergency procedures Support a culturally diverse workplace and comply with applicable Federal and State laws Assist in other departments or property-specific tasks as business needs require Report safety, security, maintenance, and asset protection concerns promptly Who Are You?
