Engineering Technician Position Summary The Engineering Technician supports manufacturing and engineering operations by maintaining accurate engineering data, developing technical documentation, and assisting with process improvements. This position works closely with Engineering and Production to maintain BOMs, routings, drawings, and quality documentation while helping improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall manufacturing performance. Key Responsibilities Collect production data and conduct studies to identify opportunities for process improvements. Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other process documentation. Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) and manufacturing routings. Ensure BOMs and engineering drawings are accurate and properly aligned. Process engineering changes by updating BOMs, routings, drawings, and 3D models. Create and modify models and engineering drawings using Autodesk Fusion. Develop Quality Assurance check sheets to support production activities on the shop floor. Provide technical support to Engineering and Production teams to improve departmental and company-wide efficiency. Assist with Continuous Improvement initiatives and other engineering projects as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree in a technical discipline preferred. 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering support, or a related field. Experience working with BOMs, routings, or similar manufacturing data systems. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience with 3D CAD software; Autodesk Fusion preferred. Strong attention to detail and data accuracy. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, metal fabrication, welding, and assembly preferred. Experience supporting Continuous Improvement initiatives is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing manufacturing environment.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
