Responsibilities:
Own the master schedule, milestones, dependencies, and critical path across the 13-board BMS testing effort. Determine required test volume, sequencing, ownership, readiness, and alignment with program milestones. Establish weekly operating rhythms for progress tracking, risk reviews, status reporting, and escalation. Coordinate hardware, embedded software, systems engineering, test engineering, regulatory, lab operations, and external certification bodies. Manage the design, procurement, fabrication, assembly, and commissioning schedules for HIL systems, test fixtures, instrumentation, and environmental chambers. Track test failures, anomalies, retesting, and RCA activities through closure. Provide leadership with clear progress updates, risks, capacity constraints, and mitigation plans.
Must-Have Requirements:
5+ years of TPM, technical project management, engineering program management, or lead test engineering experience. Experience managing complex programs involving both hardware and software. Strong hands-on experience with Smartsheet, Jira, and technical scheduling. Ability to build and manage detailed schedules, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths. Experience coordinating physical engineering assets such as test fixtures, HIL systems, or laboratory equipment. Strong cross-functional communication, risk management, and blocker-escalation skills. Experience in an industry where hardware and software overlap.
Preferred Requirements:
Previous experience as an electrical, hardware, systems, or test engineer. Familiarity with
UL 991, UL 1998, IEC 61508, ISO
26262, or a comparable safety standard. Understanding of PCBAs, HIL testing, BMS architecture, and board-level validation. Experience with Jama or another requirements-management tool. Experience with DFMEA, reliability testing, or requirements-based verification. Experience working with UL, Intertek, or another external certification body. Background in automotive, aerospace, medical devices, energy storage, or another safety-critical industry.
