Join us to help deliver groundbreaking Apple products! Apple's Silicon Engineering Group (SEG) is hiring hardworking engineers for CPU block-level implementation. Description As a CPU Implementation Engineer, you will drive or participate in the following: Implement complex, high performance and low power units of a microprocessor (CPU) involving gate-level logic design, HDL synthesis and place-and-route (P&R). Perform floor-planning, physical verification of design, including electrical rule checks, logic equivalence checks, electron migration, noise, power, and timing closure. Provide feedback to Register Transfer Level designers on any timing/power issues and verify the same in synthesis. Find implementable solutions for any late bug fixes in Register Transfer Level. Minimum Qualifications Minimum BS Must have logic design and digital circuits knowledge Experience in TCL or Perl Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with high performance CPU microprocessor architecture Must have experience in using industry standard logic Synthesis, PnR, STA and Power analysis tools, along with floor-planning, pin-placement and timing budgeting Ability to work well in a team, self-motivated and excellent communication skills Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $134,700 and $203,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
