Type:

full-time Top proprietary trading firm with offices in the US and Europe is looking to hire a distinguished FPGA Engineer to work closely with a smaller team of like minded engineers. The firm engages in rigorous quantitative analysis to deploy systematic trading strategies over multiple time horizons. You will have the opportunity to get deeply involved in the development, testing and integration of FPGA applications and work closely with other technologists and trading experts. We are seeking candidates that have strong technical experience and high-level interest in the industry. The successful hire will design, implement, and optimize hardware solutions using RTL design methodologies. What you'll be doing: Partner with developers and traders to design, implement and deploy FPGA solutions across the firms' trading businesses Architect and implement new FPGA applications (RTL design, synthesis, place & route, static timing analysis) from the ground up Develop and maintain robust testing systems shared across the team Facilitate software integration efforts by developing new APIs and optimizing interfaces Propose creative solutions to overcome FPGA/hardware/software limitations What we're looking for: 5+ years of full-time experience as an FPGA engineer Previous experience with high-speed design/protocols either within or outside the finance/trading industry Must have strong VHDL and Python skills, and be familiar with Linux environments Expert knowledge in one or more of these areas: networking, computer architecture, verification Intermediate skills in C/C++ This is a full-time, on-site role based in New York.
