Senior Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer - A/E Firm ilocatum - 5.0 Cambridge, MA Job Details Full-time $120,000 - $160,000 a year 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Employee stock ownership plan Qualifications Revit Design engineering Fire design Building information modeling (BIM) tools 3D modeling for architectural design Consulting firm experience Full Job Description Senior Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer Cambridge, MA (Hybrid) | Full-time | $120,000 - $160,000 Per Year This employee-owned (ESOP) architecture and engineering firm designs the buildings it engineers, working on labs, data centers, schools and universities, and offices in and around Boston. They are looking for a senior plumbing and fire protection engineer to run their own projects and mentor less experienced staff. Schedule Hybrid, three days a week in office. Compensation $120,000 to $160,000 per year, based on experience. What You'll Do In this role, you will be responsible for design on your own projects and will stay with them the whole way, from concept through construction administration. You will design domestic water, sanitary and waste, storm, and gas systems, along with sprinkler and standpipe systems, and produce full construction documents in Revit, coordinating them in the model with other disciplines. You will handle code and AHJ review, and you will stay on through construction administration, including submittals, RFIs, and site visits. You will also mentor and train junior staff, and work directly with clients throughout the project lifecycle. Required Qualifications 8 to 12 years of plumbing and fire protection design experience at a consulting engineering or A/E firm Experience in Revit Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience in the discipline Preferred Qualifications Experience mentoring or training junior engineering staff Experience working on labs, data centers, or higher-education projects Familiarity with code and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) review processes Compensation and Benefits $120,000 to $160,000 annual salary Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off Employee-owned (ESOP) company structure To apply, please submit your resume for consideration.
