Valex Corp's Engineering Planning Group is looking for an Engineering Intern at its Ventura, CA location for a 3-6 month internship. This temporary, paid internship is designed for students or recent graduates practicing or interested in industrial or manufacturing engineering roles who are eager to develop their skills in a real-world setting while contributing meaningfully to our manufacturing excellence initiatives. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, assisting the engineering planning group with: 1) time studies on the manufacturing floor to capture and update accurate cycle times in ERP, 2) review and update workbench instructions (aka operating procedures) based on actual production practice, 3) review documents and drawings on the manufacturing floor and relay production feedback to engineering, and 4) other miscellaneous operations/quality support as needed. The qualified candidate will have a high school diploma with college work in pursuit of an engineering or related degree, effective written and verbal communication skills, be detail-oriented, have good attendance and punctuality, and be computer literate. This is a temporary, paid, hourly position with a pay range of $18/hr to $25/hr depending on your experience and/or education.
