Job Description

Since 1957, LPI Corporation has manufactured products for jet engines, aircraft components, and other aerospace & defense applications. Our reputation for quality, service, and dependability has permitted us to serve many of the world's leading aerospace & defense original equipment manufacturers.

ROLE:

This position provide support for documentation of quality, inspection, production and improving processes on complex aerospace products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Develop/review quality inspection plans for new products as well as legacy production parts.

Coordinate the review and resolution of non-conformances.

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation to address quality issues.

Perform reviews of first article inspections as well as provide documentation for new product development, dormancy and supplier changes of legacy production parts.

Work collaboratively within and across cross-functional teams with minimal supervision

Analyze process data and identify trends to proactively address potential quality issues.

Apply lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to optimize processes and reduce waste.

Perform inspections on production parts

Perform other duties, as required.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field

EXPERIENCE

At least 2 years of experience required.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES
Language:

English Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance and Standard Measurement for Aerospace products A high attention to detail is required

Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks

Must have excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Computer Skills:

Proficient with MS Office Suite, Minitab, CMM Programming is a plus; 3D CAD Software is a plus.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Abilities:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Frequent bending, twisting, and lifting of 10 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Position will work primarily in an office environment with low noise level, but have some exposure to the manufacturing floor which has mid to high noise level with exposure to manufacturing machinery / equipment.
