Full Time - 7:00am to 3:30pm M-F; plus, overtime as needed. General Description This position is responsible for conducting studies in operations to maximize workflow and spatial utilization. Work with operation managers to improve productivity, quality and output. Ability to utilize SolidWorks CAD software. Perform a variety of administrative tasks to support the Operations Department. Main Responsibilities Conduct studies, such as; time, motion, bottleneck analysis, direct labor, indirect labor and ergonomic studies for a variety of machine, assembly, hand operations, production method, equipment layout, material handling, manpower and material utilization to improve operating performance. Establish routings by determining labor time, and operations involved to complete a task through set standards. Assist operations in work center layout, equipment consultation and new product launches. Investigate and resolve tasks recorded in the Project Database. Implement continuous improvement processes and the documentation of those processes. Chair New X Number meetings to determine if jobs require tooling or special attention. This position may require vendor visitation, if needed and when directed. Be an effective team player. Work cross-functionally with all MDI departments and personnel. Exemplify a professional work demeanor, upholding the Company Core Values. Maintain a clean and safe work area and contribute to safety awareness in the workplace. Safety Committee Secretary All other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Proficient in conducting time studies to maximize operations workflow. Experience assisting operations in work center layout and equipment consultation. Ability to read and work from engineering drawings. Proficient in a variety of engineering concepts, practices and procedures. Strong leadership skills and communication skills to foster a positive work environment. Ability to multitask and prioritize work to manage multiple tasks effectively. Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, excelling in attention to detail. Education and Work Experience Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field. Computer Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook. Proficient in Solid Works CAD software, primarily 3-D solid molding and drawing creation. Knowledge of AS400/Mac-Pac software preferred.
