Full-Time Edgecombe Furniture is seeking a motivated, analytical, and driven IPE / Production Engineer to join our growing manufacturing team in Greenville, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is smart, humble, hungry to learn, and ready to build a career in manufacturing and industrial engineering . You will work closely with our Operations, Production, and Industrial Engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes, analyze production data, develop labor routings and standards, conduct time studies, maintain production systems, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity. This is a full-time position with significant opportunity for growth and advancement. What You'll DoManufacturing Systems & Production Data Maintain and update production information within our shop-floor manufacturing software. Assist with routing information, labor standards, job travelers, and production documentation. Help identify and resolve production system and software issues. Work with supervisors and production employees to ensure production information is accurate. Learn how manufacturing systems are used to track labor, production, efficiency, and performance. Labor Routings & Production Standards Assist with developing and maintaining labor routings for manufacturing operations. Create and update job travelers and manufacturing documentation. Collect production data used to establish labor standards. Review routing information for accuracy and identify discrepancies. Understand how labor standards affect production planning, costing, scheduling, and incentive programs. Time Studies & Process Analysis Conduct time studies and collect production data. Observe production processes and document how work is performed. Analyze production data to identify opportunities for improved efficiency. Assist in developing standard work procedures. Maintain accurate records of measurements, observations, and production information. Process Improvement Spend time on the production floor learning how our products are manufactured. Identify waste, unnecessary motion, bottlenecks, and process inefficiencies. Assist with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Work directly with production employees and supervisors to understand challenges and develop solutions. Help implement and document approved process improvements. Look for ways to make our processes safer, faster, more efficient, and more consistent. Production Support Work closely with Operations and Production leadership. Gather information related to production efficiency, labor utilization, and productivity. Assist with production layouts, workflows, materials, labor, and efficiency projects. Support special projects and other initiatives as assigned. Be willing to get out on the production floor and learn the business firsthand. Data Analysis & Reporting Compile and analyze production data. Use Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze information. Prepare reports related to production efficiency, labor utilization, and productivity. Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities within production data. Communicate findings and recommendations to management. Documentation & Continuous Improvement Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintain manufacturing documentation and work instructions. Assist with training materials related to production processes and systems. Help develop and improve processes as the company continues to grow. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: A go-getter who takes initiative. Qualifications:
Education Associate's or Bachelor's degree in: Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Engineering Technology Mechanical Engineering Operations Management Supply Chain Management or a related field. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Experience Previous manufacturing, engineering, production, or internship experience is helpful but not required . Experience with any of the following is a plus: Microsoft Excel
CAD ERP/MES
systems Manufacturing software Time studies Labor standards Production data analysis Lean Manufacturing Process improvement Technical Skills Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. Ability to work with data and measurements. Ability to learn new software and manufacturing systems quickly. Ability to understand and document manufacturing processes.
