Requirements:

• Experienced in the use of AutoCAD/Solid Works or similar computer-aided design software and its use in constructing industrial controls drawing packages
• Experienced in industrial hydraulic and pneumatic principles and their use on mechanical systems
• Experience in industrial electrical circuitry including PLC hardware
• Experience in developing industrial control systems
• Experience in writing PLC ladder logic, sequences of operation, start-up instructions, MMI programs and Panelview or Panelmate programs
• Experience in most of the following technical areas: robotics, machine vision, data acquisition, servo and stepper motors, force measurement and part identification systems
• Good communicator
• Team player

Responsibilities:

Support the sales department in the areas of programming applications and customer presentations

• Take part in weekly meetings with the engineering manager to review departmental activities
• Write PLC programs for each assigned project in accordance with established procedures
• Domestic and/or international travel will be required to visit customers, suppliers or install and service equipment at the customers' facilities
• Assist the Controls Engineering Mgr. in accomplishing the following
• Meet department budgets
• Meet department schedules
• Adhere to all established procedures
• Meet the technical and functional requirements on all projects
• Understand and practice industrial safety standards
