Job Description
Heidelberg Materials is seeking an Electrical Engineer Trainee to support plant operations in our manufacturing facilities. In this entry-level role, you will assist senior engineers with troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems, motors, drives, and automation equipment. You will help perform inspections, support root-cause analysis, and participate in reliability and preventive maintenance projects. Working in a safety-first, hands-on environment, you'll receive mentoring, technical training, and opportunities to contribute to process improvements and sustainability initiatives across our production sites. Responsibilities Assist with troubleshooting and repair of plant electrical systems, motors, and drives Support preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and automation equipment Help perform inspections, testing, and documentation of electrical systems Participate in root-cause analysis and reliability improvement initiatives Assist in implementing safety procedures and ensuring regulatory compliance Support installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and controls Collaborate with engineers, maintenance, and operations teams on projects Maintain accurate maintenance and project records in company systems Required Skills Industrial electrical troubleshooting Motor and VFD fundamentals Reading electrical schematics PLC and automation basics Preventive and predictive maintenance Root-cause failure analysis Instrumentation and controls basics Electrical safety and
