About Rapid Reboot:
Rapid Reboot is transforming athletic recovery with cutting-edge compression therapy systems trusted by pros and everyday athletes. Founded by an Ironman athlete, we're on a mission to help people unlock peak performance through science-backed wellness tech. We move fast and value self-starters who can take ownership of their work. Your contributions will directly impact our product engineering and help athletes recover faster. Role Overview We are seeking a technically minded, hands-on individual to join our team as a Production & Engineering Technician Intern. From operating our PCB line to the precision assembly of our signature pumps, you will ensure every system meets the highest quality standards. Beyond technical assembly, you will serve as a versatile operational asset; assisting with warehouse fulfillment, managing returns, troubleshooting hardware issues, and applying Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline operations. We are a tech-forward team that actively uses AI and modern digital tools to build automated systems, refine databases, and eliminate operational friction. If you love taking things apart, building them back up, and ensuring everything runs seamlessly, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities Assembly Ownership & Technical Production:
Lead the assembly process for Rapid Reboot products, including high-precision pump assembly and PCB line operation using basic hand tools and specialized equipment.
Extensive Quality Testing:
Execute rigorous QC testing protocols to ensure every unit meets performance standards before reaching an athlete.
Process Automation & AI Tooling:
Utilize AI tools and modern software to help build internal databases, automate operational workflows, and optimize warehouse processes.
Returns & Reverse Logistics:
Receive, inspect, and test returned products; assess units for refurbishment, restocking, or parts disposal; and process returns accurately within our systems.
Inventory Control & Fulfillment:
Package, label, and fulfill outgoing orders; process domestic shipping documentation; safely handle inventory storage; and maintain an organized assembly and returns workspace.
Equipment & Tool Maintenance:
Keep production machinery, hand tools, and assembly lines updated, maintained, and safely operated.
Technical Documentation & QMS:
Track hardware issues and document non-conformances within our Quality Management System (QMS); perform reworks on nonconforming items.
Lean Manufacturing & Process Improvement:
Identify and implement workflows to reduce downtime, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve warehouse and production support tasks.
Requirements Technical Aptitude:
Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical comfort working with basic tools (screwdrivers, drills) and electronic components.
Precision & Problem-Solving:
High attention to detail with a proactive approach to troubleshooting mechanical systems, following SOPs, and logging hardware issues.
Lean Mindset:
Strong interest in manufacturing efficiency, organization, and improving operational processes.
Reliability:
Excellent organizational skills, strong adaptability across technical and warehouse tasks, and a track record of consistent attendance.
Preferred / Bonus
Skills Coursework or interest in engineering, technology, or related technical disciplines (or equivalent hands-on experience). Experience with PCB assembly, soldering, hardware testing, or basic equipment operation. Previous experience in a warehouse, assembly, or light manufacturing environment. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or QMS platforms.
Compensation Pay:
$20-25/hr, depending on experience and technical aptitude (Includes a paid 1-hour lunch for full shifts). Paid time off benefits Rapid Reboot is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds who share our passion for helping athletes recover and perform.
