Duties:
Test rotating equipment and troubleshoot problems in shop and field Disassemble rotating equipment (Motors, Pumps Blowers, Gearboxes, etc.) to evaluate the condition of their parts Clean equipment/parts as needed using parts washers/steamers, sandblaster, etc. Replace and install parts as needed (bearings, gears, seals, impellers, power cable) Reassemble & test equipment for proper operation Operate repair and testing equipment (and other equipment as needed) Assist other mechanics with various duties
Desired Skills and Requirements:
Experience with rotating equipment including pumps, motors, gearboxes, and valves for the water and wastewater industry -- a PLUS Motor rebuilding & winding experience -- a PLUS Must be available after-hours for emergency response calls on a rotation basis Must have a valid driver's license Must pass a background check and drug test
