Work as a Mechanical Technician on a team assembling reverse osmosis equipment. Mechanical Technicians lay out, fabricate, and assemble PVC and metal piping spools, install sensors and devices, and ensure EHS and quality standards are met. This position works under the direction of the Mechanical Technician Lead and assigned Production Supervisor. Key Characteristics Ability to assemble conduit and electrical panels and equipment per applicable quality and EHS standards. Ability to work from engineered electrical drawings and schematics and understand engineering and quality specifications. Ability to participate as a key member of an assembly team. Duties & Responsibilities Follows all EHS rules and produces quality work. Assists with other departments as needed. Works with and coordinates activities with other job classifications. Follows safe work practices and all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures. Reads and understands shop orders and bill of materials. Assembles RO equipment from drawings as a member of a team. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (List out required and preferred skills as applicable) Demonstrated mechanical aptitude. Work as a member of a team and independently. Desire to advance to higher level mechanical technician roles Basic mathematics skills.
Education & Experience Required:
High School Diploma/GED 1 or more years of experience working in mechanical trades such as auto repair, HVAC, plumbing, etc. Preferred (if applicable): Trade school certificate in mechanical trade. Experience in a factory or industrial setting, preferably assembly operations.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to perform work with appropriate PPE for work (safety toed shoes, safety glasses, bump cap/hard hat, etc.) Majority of day will be spent standing with some bending and fine motor work appropriate for work in a fabrication shop. Ability to operate power tools such as drills, grinders, and saws. Some sitting and computer work is required. Some unassisted lifting up to 50 lbs. is required - nearly all heavy parts movement assisted with cranes/hoists and pallet jacks.
Pay:
$18.29 - $21.13 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
