Who We Are:

\nWe are seeking a highly-motivated engineering intern to join our team in solving unique problems for the United States Government by participating in the mechanical design, fabrication and testing of complex devices and systems in a R D environment.\nObjectives of this

Role:

\nOur students work for and alongside full-time Engineers, Scientists, and Technicians.\nExposed to a wide variety of technical areas and given the opportunity to develop innovative solutions that meet project requirements.\nAssist with mechanical design, fabrication, and testing on a variety of technical challenges.\nSummer 2027 student position.\n

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

\nAssist in mechanical designs utilizing SolidWorks and other engineering tools.\nResolve a variety of engineering issues during design, fabrication, and testing.\nPerform market research, specify equipment and parts, design mechanical components, generate drawings for fabrication, and plan and perform experiments.\nRegularly communicate work status with engineering and technical staff.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams on technical challenges.\nCompile and summarize test data. Prepare technical presentations.\nExplore new technologies and engineering tools that may benefit existing programs.\n

Requirements:

\nMust be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related Engineering degree field.\n0 years: Mechanical design experience and competency in CAD software. SolidWorks preferred.\nExperience fabricating, assembling and troubleshooting mechanical parts and assemblies.\nWorking knowledge of ANSYS Structural or similar FEA software.\nA valid/clear driver's license is required.\n

Special Requirements:

\nApplicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.\n
