Assembly Manager Summary:
Seeking skilled mechanical and/or electrical technicians to assemble and build Ross processing and packaging machines.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Apply knowledge of hydraulics, electrical circuits, mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulic testing equipment to complete work assignments.
  • Use technical manuals, schematic drawings, and blueprints to determine tasks to be performed.
  • Positions parts and sub-assemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Build and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment, power supplies, drives, gauges, and test equipment.
  • Documents actions by completing production, quality, or engineering forms.
  • Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Practices lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement methodologies.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude of building, constructing, and assembling large mechanical systems and machines.
  • Good quality mechanical and/or electronic ability is a must; a combination of both is preferred.
  • Experience with using different types of pneumatic and electrical tools, including air tools, lift and moving devices, drills, and an assortment of hand tools.
  • Able to read, understand, and analyze machine drawings, models, and electrical schematics.
  • Well organized with an aptitude for details.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Able to work independently as well as within a group to resolve problems and/or issues.
  • Able to stand and walk most of the day. Able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Physical mobility to include but not limited to stretching, lifting, bending, twisting, etc. is required to perform job duties and functions.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Able to work independently as well as within a group to resolve problems and/or issues.
Education and Training:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate from Technical or Vocational School or AA in related field preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend and stoop frequently.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work outside as needed.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret written instructions.
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools.
  • Ability to interpret drawings.
  • Ability to work required OT if needed.
